Amenities That Make a Difference

Rose Mofford Dog Park goes above and beyond by providing amenities that enhance the overall experience for dogs and their humans.

💦 Water Stations and Kiddie Pools

Especially during the hot Arizona summers, hydration is key. Rose Mofford Dog Park offers multiple water stations on both sides, making it easy to keep your pup cool and hydrated. On hotter days, some visitors even bring kiddie pools where dogs can splash and cool off.

🪑 Plenty of Seating and Shade

Owners can relax and socialize while their dogs play, thanks to the dozen-plus chairs and shaded seating areas scattered throughout the park. Several large trees provide shade, creating a comfortable environment for humans and dogs alike.

🗑️ Poop Scoop Stations and Trash Cans

Waste management is made easy with scoopers and trash bins placed strategically throughout the park. However, some visitors have reported that cleanliness can be an issue on occasion, especially if owners neglect their cleanup duties.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: A Mixed Bag

For the most part, Rose Mofford Dog Park is clean and well-maintained, with regular upkeep by the City of Phoenix. However, occasional lapses in cleaning schedules have been noted, particularly after busy weekends.

👎 Poop Problems: Some visitors have mentioned that the small dog area can get messy due to a lack of cleanup from inattentive owners.

⚠️ Beware of Aggressive Dogs and Irresponsible Owners

While the majority of the park’s regulars are courteous, there have been isolated incidents involving aggressive dogs in the small dog area. Some visitors have reported that irresponsible owners occasionally bring large, aggressive dogs into the small dog side, creating dangerous situations. Unfortunately, local authorities have been slow to respond in these cases, so it’s essential to stay vigilant.
